Workshop: Moral Leadership
As an executive in research, we have a wide range of day-to-day obligations, eg. provide strategic directions, thought leadership, oversight. In this workshop, we will focus on moral leadership: what is our responsibility to the general public? What will we or will we not do? How will these decisions affect our team? We will start by discussing the four principles approach or principalism. We will then discuss errors in communication, such as the misrepresentation and exaggeration of information. We encourage you to discuss ethical problems you have faced in the past in this workshop and bring an essay for review. Reality is messy. This is a non-judgemental space.
