Announcing a new partnership with BMCC

Introducing The BMCC Diversity Program

New York, New York City, August 4, 2020 (UnbuiltLabs.com) - Unbuilt Labs is delighted to announce our new partnership with the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC). We will be offering 2 internship places exclusively to BMCC students, with a focus on first generation college students. With a 0.8% acceptance rate, Unbuilt Labs’ internship is one of the most competitive programs within the United States. We are expecting around 8 interns including the 2 places for BMCC students, where they can work collaboratively with more established candidates.

We believe diversity is crucial to sustainable innovation. This is an opportunity for BMCC students to engage with the research, think tank, and policy world, where students with less credentialed backgrounds are traditionally underrepresented.

With this partnership, Unbuilt Labs would like to extend support towards BMCC’s dedication to education, opportunity, and access.

BMCC Vision Statement

BMCC will be nationally recognized for improving student learning and success, excellence in research and knowledge creation, and for advancing socioeconomic mobility through the transformative power of education. BMCC faculty and staff are committed to strengthening our culture of care, and take responsibility for creating the conditions under which all students can learn and all members of the BMCC community can thrive. Teaching and learning at BMCC, both inside and outside the classroom, is culturally responsive and sustaining, deeply engaging, and celebrates the rich diversity of experience and knowledge that the entire community brings to the College. Our students, faculty, staff, and alumni share great pride for BMCC, and for our role in creating a better, more equitable New York City.

We welcome your support and encouragement for this program and its students.
