Apply for Consultative Status as an Organization
Organizations that wish to cohost 1-2 workshops with us between April and November 2022 and support the co-creation of the guidelines are encouraged to apply for consultative status with the Center for Global Agenda (CGA) at Unbuilt Labs. Organizations of any size and groups within larger organizations can apply for consultative status, but priority is given to organizations that can offer perspectives that are historically underrepresented in global agenda-setting.
A typical workshop is organized around an Area or a Theme. It is conducted online to allow for global participation, lasts 90 minutes, and has three parts. Part 1: Introductions and quick presentations by organizing parties to provide context to participants, Part 2: Participants enter breakout rooms and produce statements as an individual or a group, Part 3: Synthesis and discussions. Participants can submit a statement during the workshop or continue developing it until it is ready for submission. We are also happy to conduct workshops in more creative ways.
We generally provide these guiding questions to individuals and organizations that would like to submit a statement: What insights would you like to offer about the Areas or Themes’ theory or practice? How do you envision the Areas or Themes supporting sustainable development and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? What recommendations would you like to make to a Non-State Actor group in relation to one of the Areas or Themes? Please be as specific as you can and feel free to cite academic or non-academic sources.
