Post York: the New York flood scenario research package
When creator James Romberger approached Unbuilt Labs to look into the real science behind the fictional flood scenario presented in his graphic novel Post York, we welcomed the fascinating challenge. Our factsheet is included at the end of the publication. The comic tells the moving story of New York after the city succumbs to catastrophic flooding due to climate change.

About the Author
Lowell Clare, Summer Research Analyst
Lowell Clareās past work has centered on the relevance of discrepancies between perceived and actual urban histories to strategic development. Prior research includes: visualizations and designs for the National Mall 20, 50 and 100 years into the future and the ways architectural preservation of Londonās historic pubs glosses over their history. She has continued to develop those skills in the disciplines of urbanism, adaptive reuse, and landscape architecture. At Unbuilt Labs, she is constructing flood scenarios and examining the vulnerabilities of New York Cityās existing buildings in the face of climate crisis. Moving forward she would like to bring her expertise to the business of the strategic design of resilient cities.

About the Author
James Rombergerās pastel drawings are in many private and public collections including those of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Parrish Museum and the Brooklyn Museum. He was the co-director with Marguerite Van Cook of the seminal 1980s East Village installation gallery Ground Zero. He is the Eisner-nominated cartoonist of the one-shot comics Post York and For Real for Uncivilized Books; and co-author of the graphic novels 7 Miles a Second, 2020 Visions, Bronx Kill and Aaron and Ahmed for Vertigo/DC; and The Late Child and Other Animals for Fantagraphics. He has written about comics, film and art for Publisherās Weekly, Comics Journal, The Beat, Study Group Magazine and LAAB. His most recent book is the critical study Steranko: The Self-Created Man. He has taught art at Parsons, Hunter College and Marywood University
About Karen Berger and Berger Books
